IS THE SRC VETTING CHAIRPERSON CREDIBLE?

Image
“If there's anything I've observed about my years in Knust, it is how sacrosanct a vetting panel is in the determination of the next set of leaders for the SRC.” - Susana Yeboah, Natural Resource Mgt. 3 Passing vetting is never an easy thing, and we've witnessed scenarios where candidates have been rejected due to failing the vetting. Information reaching us at Tiger EYE indicates that the credibility of the Chairperson of the SRC vetting panel is very questionable.  Mr. Charles Tengan Lwanga is said to have trained and given vetting questions to one of the leading aspirants, Master Jude Sabutey. We will equally add that this is according to eye witness reports on this issue and is not an issue to be taken lightly.  We are thus questioning that if Master Lwanga did this, then isn't it a direct show of bias against other candidates?  We only hope that this issue be addressed before the start of the vetting scheduled tomorrow.

In a statement issued earlier today, he expressed his concerns over the floods and how bad it will affect the academics and normalcy of life on campus. Below is the statement; The earlier days of the semester saw myself and colleague students and friends take to the streets to clear out our canals and gutters.  To many, it was a typical Electoral activity but to us this was an activity of great foresight. At our second clean-up exercise, we saw several students join us as we cleared the drainage and the streets, while anticipating the effects of clogged up drainage in the forthcoming season.  We have seen very worrying images of flooding in our Hostels. I had to walk through a flooded area myself to visit a friend yesterday evening. By this communique, I respectfully c...

Read the full statement below: Dear President, The events that precede my penning down this letter are rather unfortunate and have saddened my heart. I wish to bring to your notice that some students have been unable to register their courses as a result of their inability to pay their school fees in full as well as issues with clearance. It saddens me, Mr. President, that we are a week away from Mid-semester examinations which constitutes a good part of the cumulative marks of students and ensures their promotion as they ascend the academic ladder. If the students cannot partake in the Mid-semester examinations, they lose a chunk of the marks that cou...
