Bright Ampofo Petitions the Dean of Students on the recent Hike of Hostel prices Off-campus
Bright Emmanuel Ampofo 2020 KNUST SRC Presidential candidate Mr Bright Emmanuel Ampofo has submitted a petition to the office of the Dean of Students for a review of the hostel prices after some Off-campus hostels released prices for the next academic year. On Monday, 6th July 2020, Bright Emmanuel Ampofo, an SRC Presidential Aspirant and former Deputy Speaker of the KNUST SRC Parliament, submitted a petition to the Dean of Students to intervene and negotiate for a reduction of hostel fees on behalf of students. He asked the office of the Dean of Students to pay particular attention to the exorbitant fees foreign students have to pay to get accommodation off-campus and help curb the issue. He finally proposed that the Office of the Dean of Students should extend technical assistance to the hostels off-campus to come up with an effective online platform to aid students apply for accommodation online.
