KNUST: GPSA Observes World Diabetes Day Today; Educate The Public On Diabetes

Department of Pharmacy- KNUST  The KNUST Chapter of the Ghana Pharmaceutical Students Association (GPSA) is set to observe the World Diabetes Day today at the Faculty of Pharmacy in line with World Health Organizing (WHO) program outlines. The department has taken it upon themselves to create more awareness about this disease so as to prevent any sudden contraction which may result in many unpleasant cases. The department has given several outlines to serve as guidelines in attaining massive attention on the dreadful disease. Some include; Diabetes mellitus commonly called, "Sugar Disease" a condition in which the body does not produce enough of the hormone insulin, resulting in high levels of sugar in the bloodstream. There are many different types of diabetes; the most common are Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes.
