The KNUST SRC President, Master Adu-Baah Charles Jnr has signed an executive instrument which allows an interim committee to take over power from him and act in the stead of the SRC till elections for new executives are done. However, he asserts that there is a need for a continuance of the Student Representative Council upon the end of the tenure of the incumbent executives. He has therefore signed an instrument that ensures an Interim Student Representative Council (ISRC) assumes power till the early days of the next semester when elections are held.
