The Commonwealth Hall JCR has issued a 7 page petition addressed to the Management Committee investigating the rigging and irregularities of the 2021 SRC Elections.  The petition highlights many issues which, according to them, are improper and cannot be overlooked. They also called for an annulment of the results of some polling stations.  Their petition adds to a long list of petitions on the 2021 University of Ghana SRC Elections calling for anulment and/or re-voting in some polling stations. The UGSRC elections and its aftermath continues to rage on as major stakeholders keep asking for a rerun of parts or yhe entire runoff phase of the elections. The Mensah Sarbah Hall has been the latest bloc to petition this Committee as a letter sighted by the knusttigereye team reveals the entire EC board of the JCR Hall are asking the Committee to annul votes of the Hall due to the many irregularities that happened. On election day, the presiding officer was allegedly beaten, masked men believed to be from the traditional council stormed the polling station and destroyed electoral materials.  After the official presiding officer was beaten and had to escape for his safety, another person acted as EC and issued over 400 ballot papers to voters without verification. This extra voting happened after the stipulated 6pm for end of polls.
