ABIGAIL AMOAH DECLARES HER INTENT TO RUN FOR THE OFFICE OF CoHSS GENERAL SECRETARY AGAIN

  A third year student from the department of History and Political Studies under the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, CoHSS, ABIGAIL AMOAH has officially declared her intent of running for the Office of CoHSS  General Secretary. She run for the same Office last year, but could not make victory, but she says she has come again with an unabated purpose this year. Abigail believes the mandate of a General Secretary is not only limited to keeping records of minutes and giving out information, but what the person is bringing to the table for the welfare of the people should be considered, and that we should  move our scope "BEYOND THE BASICS" For this reason, she's soliciting for support from the good people of CoHSS to rally behind her as she sets on the journey to pursue Victory, so enable her contribute  her quota of service to the people of College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Excerpts of CANaRSA Electoral Commission PRESS BRIEFING ON 2021 General ELECTIONS

  Honourable Wooden Daniel Ocansey, CANaRSA EC Chairperson has held a press briefing to address certain issues concerning the upcoming elections, following the press briefing by the SRC Electoral Commission. As stated clearly in the college's constitution, new set of executive members, all portfolios inclusive are to be elected by students of the college through secret voting. The CANaRSA constitution's electoral rules still apply and these rules have been pasted on all notice boards in the college to enable all members have access to it as there will be no contemplation on the withdrawal of any candidate who shall be found guilty of any electoral offence.  The election schedule for this year has been released and pasted on the notice boards and all social media platforms of the College. The CANaRSA electoral commission also wishes to hold a free and fair election. Candidates are entreated to conduct a peaceful campaign in order to prevent electoral violations and irregularitie

This year’s election will be one of the promising ones looking at the number of boots on the ground and the involvement of some “political gods”. Maturity should manifest in our politics and the old unscrupulous acts should be avoided completely. Student politics is simmering many cherish and do all sort of things to attain that power but extreme measures should be barred. Run a clean politics, if the people  buy into your ideas you have their votes. What has happened at the Unity Hall - Conti is something that can be attributed to a May 9 disaster in student politics On 14th May 2021, a group of polluted minds descended on one fine aspirant in this year’s Election.
