Mohammed Ali SOCIOSO Vice President announces the disbursement of SNTF.

The release of this year’s list of beneficiaries of the SOCIOSO Needy Trust Fund (SNTF) is quite different from the norm. And this is to replace the old formula of publishing list in order to promote the confidentiality as the welfare commission All applicants of the 2019/2020 SNTF scheme who have duly undergone the process are advised to check their status with the Vice President. To know if they qualified or not to be a beneficiary. The office of the welfare committee has reiterated their commitment  to the promotion of the welfare of all students within the aforementioned faculty, and also dedicated to during just that. KNUST SRC WOCOM donates COVID-19 PPEs to clinical students.

  The Womens’ Commissioner of the Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Miss Rabiatu Siaka has donated dozens of COVID-19 Personal protective equipment (PPEs) to clinical students at the Faculty Of Pharmacy And Pharmaceutical Sciences. The donation was done in line with one of the initiatives of the SRC to protect students from contracting the coronavirus. The donation which took place at brief ceremony on Wednesday 24th February, 2021 saw the SRC WOCOM  donate over 1,000  face masks to the Faculty. Speaking in an interview with Focus FM’s Lois Agartha Gyau, Rabiatu Siaka said they have had to donate the protective equipment to students of the Faculty because of the peculiar programmes that they run especially in their clinical year. “So the donation today was basically for  those in the clinical aspect of the programme,” she said. Unity Hall President DSK set to organize Academic clinic live on Focus FM

The Incumbent Unity Hall - Conti President, DSK Acquah has put plans in motion to hold an Academic Clinic live show on Focus FM The show is said to be aired live on Focus FM and on Conti TV on YouTube on Friday, 26th February. Guests speaking on the show include Dr(Mrs) Rosemary Boateng Coffie, Senior lecturer and exams officer(KSB) and Dr Richard Avuglah, Senior lecturer,department of mathematics and Head of Convocation KNUST. Reuben Blakpa distributes 2,500 pencils to Students at KNUST School of Business

Reuben Blakpa has donated pencils to the faculty of business as his measures to aide the students prepare adequately for the upcoming mid-semester examinations  "IF we are certain of the circumstances, we will be able to do everything possible to overcome it" he iterated. Master Reuben Blakpa went ahead to caution all the first year's on the dangers on Examinations malpractices. He also encouraged them to steadfastly focused on their academic goals and leave no stone unturned as they prepare earnestly for the upcoming mid semester exams.  Reuben Blakpa has been noticed for his outstanding initiatives such as the TIME BOUND SOLUTIONS which seeks to provide comprehensive tutorial sessions to all students across the Faculty and also the TIME BOUND HOSTEL INITIATIVE, which addresses accommodation issues to members of the faculty. - Story by: Appiah Prince. 

Boakye Elvis Tabiri set to distribute over 1,500 quality HB pencils.

Master Boakye Elvis Tabiri, popularly known as B.E.T has taken it upon himself to ensure the best out of first years in Business school as he prepares over 1,500 pencils as a gift for them to write the exam with.  As mid semester examination approaches and  being the first examination to all first year students, Boakye Elvis Tabiri shares 1,500 quality HB pencils to the first year students in KNUST Business school. Having an interaction with our reporter Christabel Ofori, he clearly stated these pencils were distributed to ensure everyone uses the appropriate pencils for shading to prevent rejection by the system. He further emphasized “Business students are my priority and I don’t look for the mere good for them neither do I look for the mere better, i go extra mile for the best because that’s what everyone deserves “. - Story by: Christabel Ofori 

KNUST: SRC Sets Committee for the 60th Anniversary Celebrations.

The KNUST SRC has through a recent communique released to the general public informing all and sundry that the students representative council has set a committee to plan for the upcoming SRC 60th anniversary celebration. In a recent communique issued by the SRC, the entire student populace has been informed of a 10 member planning committee formed ahead of the anniversary celebrations. The 10 member committee have been tasked with 'drawing up a blueprint and structure for the celebration'. The committee is named to be made of reps from the executive council, SRC Parliament, NUGS and the judicial committee Students however await in anticipation for the celebration of the event. -Story by: Ansuaa Priscilla
