KNUST: Students Settle in on Campus Fine Amidst Coronavirus Scare

The corona virus hit the entire world as a surprise with Ghana as no exception. Ghana was hit with its first case as a result of an importation in March 2020. Schools were forced to shut down with immediate effect as one of government’s immediate measures of controlling the virus. Since then, measures have been put in place to control the virus. Schools were shut down, the country had to undergo a two week partial lockdown and strict compliance to all the protocols put in place to curb the spread of the virus. Regular washing of hands, wearing of nose masks became a norm.  All mass gatherings were banned as well. Academic activities were halted amidst fear of contraction and mass spread of this deadly virus. Notwithstanding, government issued a statement for the resumption of schools with a strong warning to adhere to all protocols.  Freshmen reported on campus three days ago and nothing seem to be out of the ordinary, all activities are going on smoothly.
