ABC Hands Over Power on Wednesday; Transitional Process to climax Today

The Adu-Baah Charles Jnr led administration is set to hand over the reigns to the Interim Students Representative Committee (ISRC) which has already been constituted just a week All too soon the “Village boy with city dreams” administration has ended with just a day left to go after a controversial tenure. If not for nothing, this administration would be remembered for the ultramodern 50K shuttle rank conducted infront of the Casely Hayford building (EHC) which seeks to provide comfort and shelter to students and the massive renovation done at the SRC secretariat. ABC will hand over to the ISRC on Wednesday at the SRC Secretariat however, the final phase of the transition process is expected to be done today within the hours of 3:00pm and 4:00pm. The handing over unlike previous years is expected to be strictly by invitation.

Ramapo College of New Jersey congratulates Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso on his leadership accomplishment as KNUST VC

The Ramapo College of New Jersey has congratulated immediate past Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kwasi Obiri-Danso on his crafty and ambitious leadership for the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Professor Obiri-Danso’s four-year tenure as the KNUST Vice-Chancellor came to an end on July 31, 2020. Ramapo College of New Jersey in a tweet said, they are proud of the collaborations they have accomplished with “KNUST and KNUST-SRC through the leadership of VC Obiri-Danso during his tenure.” Ramapo College of New Jersey in June 2010 signed an affiliation agreement with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana.   The agreement would enhance the achievements in teaching, research and the cultural development of both institutions through scholarly exchange opportunities for faculty and professional staff to participate in curriculum development and research, and for visiting students to pursue academic programs and activities. Prof. Mark Adom-Asamoah appointed as acting pro vice-chancellor of KNUST

Professor Mark Adom-Asamoah has been appointed as the acting Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). Until his appointment, he was the Provost of the College of Engineering. He takes over from Prof (Mrs) Rita Akosua Dickson who was appointed the 11th Vice-Chancellor of the university effective August 1, 2020. A statement signed by the Registrar, Mr. Andrews K. Boateng indicated that Prof. Mark Adom-Asamoah has been appointed to as the Pro Vice-Chancellor until a substantive Pro VC is appointed in October 2020. Mark Adom-Asamoah is a Professor of Civil Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. He holds a PhD from the University of Bristol, UK, an MSc and DIC  from the Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine, University of London and a BSc from KNUST. University Hall Opens Nominations for the various Committees

The elected executives of the University Hall - Katanga have opened nominations for the various committees of the Hall in accordance with the constitution The President elect of the Hall, Mr Martin Darko through a communique has paved way for all interested parties to apply for the various vacant spots on the committees. In the release it was stated that all affiliates of the Hall have been officially informed and are expected to participate in the exercise. The various committees available for grabs are as follows:
