Katanga Activism Wing embarks on a project to fight Global Warming

A group of visionary Katangees came together and formed a group consisting of elite students who share a common goal to impact KNUST and Ghana as a whole. These students birthed the Katanga Activism Wing to tackle issues that are pressing in our society. As part of this effort, the Wing donated dustbins to the University Hall on 9th July 2021 for recycling purposes as part of the militant excursion in the fight against global warming and climate change.  The donation was done on behalf of the Wing by its president Mr. Osei Derrick Asare and other executives with some members, notable of all Master Jude Sabutey the SRC presidential aspirant in this year's SRC race. The dustbins were received by the University Hall president Mr.Edmund Kwaku Boateng on behalf of the Hall in line with the precepts of positive dynamism and solidarity.  The initiative was applauded and we'll received by the University Hall president and other members of the JCR.

REQUEST FOR AN INTERVENTION IN KNUST HOSTEL PRICES.

  Nana kwesi Eshun, a second year student reading Bsc. Statistics in an open letter petition the KNUST Vice Chancellor, Professor Rita Akosua Dickson on the exorbitant prices of hostel fees. In a letter dated on the 7th of July 2021, the said student, wants to draw to the attention of the Vice Chancellor the increasing prices of hostels which have been and is affecting students. His letter has received an acknowledgement from the Vice Chancellor and as such has directed the Dean of Students to address this issue soon. Attached to this is the letter

Affable SRC General Secretary Candidate Tiwaa Benedicta Organizes Skills Workshop for Students

The number one candidate to assume the KNUST SRC General Secretary position after elections Miss Benedicta Tiwaa Amankwah has organized a skills training fare for students of KNUST days after putting up a splendid performance at the SRC vetting despite her health conditions. The leading SRC General  Secretary, Miss Benedicta Tiwaa Amankwah believes the office being vied for narrows down not only to secretarial duties but but there’s more to the office. She then decides to go the extra mile prior to being hopeful to winning. She has organised a skill training activity to inculcate key beneficial skills into ladies of KNUST and it's environs. Over the weekend Miss Tiwaa brought together a number of students under a roof and taught them various skills with fake-up being the dominant skill taught at the fare. She is set to do more! The journey approves it all...
