The non-residential Caucus of the SRC parliament (Non-Re) together with the Dean of students Prof Wilson Agyare, SRC President Master Samuel Sesah, Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Christian Anderson and the SRC Chief of staff Miss Nhyira Boahene met with the honorable Assembly members for the various off campus constituencies in KNUST SRC Parliament. The meeting had the intention of introducing the student leadership to the  Assembly members for advocacy fast tracking off-campus. Security and safety issues, poor networks and lightning and many other issues of interest  were discussed. The meeting ended with a much anticipation of more fruitful meetings ahead. Dream of Africa Youth Change Board Members Third year student, Miss Benedicta Tiwaa Amankwah has been appointed as a Board Member for the philanthropic group Dream of Africa Youth Change Benedicta Tiwaa is said to be a third year student of the department of Geography and Rural Development. She is noted for many social works that she has participated  in. She’s someone who has others well-being at heart and does all she can to solve issues with the limited resources at her disposal. Recently, it was in the news that Miss Benedicta Tiwaa Amankwah has gifted the KNUST SRC a wireless huawei telephone to ease communications between executives and the student body. KNUST SRC Parliament  The KNUST SRC President Master Samuel Sesah will be presenting the first state of the KNUST SRC address this weekend at the Kumapley Auditorium. Rt. Hon Christian Anderson, Speaker of Parliament   As mandated by the KNUST SRC constitution, the SRC President has a duty to update  the entire student populace on it's activities, progress and failures alike that there. As such, there is set to be a state of Address on Sunday, 14th March 2021 at the Kumapley Auditorium at exactly 3pm. Students are to stay engaged and follow up on whatever that ensues. The much awaited launch will take place at the Kumapley Auditorium (GESA Auditorium) on Saturday the 13th day of March exactly 10am. Speaking on Community Watch on Tuesday evening hosted by Raheem Awaafo, the KNUST SRC Financial Secretary Osei Fosu Solomon gave out details of the anniversary celebrations. He stated that the SRC is on course to making the event a memorable one as they have invited most of the past KNUST SRC Presidents making mention of notable ones such as Boakye Nyamekye Isaac (BNI), Samuel Amoako Kusi (SAK), Kelvin Sah (noted for the famous 22nd September 2018) and many others. He also promised the presence of many dignitaries such as past Vice Chancellors of the university. The S)MESO FINANCIAL PACKAGE for financially challenged students of the Health Sciences Students Association - HESA applications have been opened.  The executive committee of the Health Science Students Association has released a statement that to be eligible, the student must be a regular student, and in first year to the 6th Year. And to apply, a proof of need in a maximum of five lines is required, and the most recent results slip for continuing students and WASSCE result for first year students.  Applicants are to also provide Schedule of Payment of School Fees, from first year to date. Mr. Boakye-Dankwah Asare has today in a public release provided students with some safety tips during the mid semester examination period as students study late into the night.  In his release, he admonished students to take notice of the pointers he has put together as they would be of immense help to them in this period of exams. 📌 Make sure you have your student’s ID card on you to guarantee your access to the Exam Hall. 📌 Be sure you have your own Pencils, Pens, erasers. You may not be allowed to borrow one at the Exam centre. 📌 Make efforts to secure your room before you leave for the Exam Hall, unscrupulous people are always on the move in these heated times.  📌 Double check the Exam time table to be extra sure of your Exam date and their respective centers.  📌 Covid-19 is real.
