Excerpts of CANaRSA Electoral Commission PRESS BRIEFING ON 2021 General ELECTIONS

 


Honourable Wooden Daniel Ocansey, CANaRSA EC Chairperson has held a press briefing to address certain issues concerning the upcoming elections, following the press briefing by the SRC Electoral Commission.


As stated clearly in the college's constitution, new set of executive members, all portfolios inclusive are to be elected by students of the college through secret voting. The CANaRSA constitution's electoral rules still apply and these rules have been pasted on all notice boards in the college to enable all members have access to it as there will be no contemplation on the withdrawal of any candidate who shall be found guilty of any electoral offence. 






The election schedule for this year has been released and pasted on the notice boards and all social media platforms of the College. The CANaRSA electoral commission also wishes to hold a free and fair election.


Candidates are entreated to conduct a peaceful campaign in order to prevent electoral violations and irregularities. The commissary also assures all stakeholders that the elections will be held in a peaceful atmosphere. The long lasting trust and integrity of the CANaRSA will not be compromised, but held up high.
