MICHAEL ABUAH VINDICATED AFTER PANEL CHAIRPERSON FALSELY ACCUSED HIM ON SCISA BURSARY ALLOCATION

In the early hours of Sunday,4th July 2021,Master Michael Abuah;a leading candidate in the KNUST SRC ELECTIONS was being vetted alongside his running mate REGINALD AMO YEBOAH.

During the process of the vetting,the panel chairman Master Charles Tengan Lwanga asserted that there have been several situations on campus even right before his eyes where strong boys or campaign boys are allocated slots on the Welfare packages available to students.

He asked if Michael Abuah who was the former president of the Science Students’ Association did same and this was his response “Mr Chairman,I am a man of integrity and I make sure things are always done the right way so therefore I can promise you that nothing of such sort happened under my tenure when I was President”

After several backs and forth,the panel chair insisted that after his checks he realized one individual by the name Antwi Ofosu,reference number withheld, was a student of Bsc Disability Studies and therefore was not fit for the bursary since he is not a member of SCISA.

Michael Abuah insisted that the said person was from SCISA and due diligence was done before the allocation.

Later,the person in question came around and the panel finalized that Michael Abuah’s integrity was intact.

Many students say the panel was too strict on Michael Abuah,others say there has been some sort of friction since ages.

Now I can boldly say Michael Abuah has been vindicated and he’s the right man for the job.

Abuah Michael ended his address by saying that no matter the obstacles and impediments,he still has the FAITH TO FINISH!

Neglected Roads, Neglected Students: The Perilous Journey of KNUST Students Off-Campus

A dangerous footbridge students use The roads students ply off-campus, especially Ayeduase, home to many students, have long been a source of frustration and danger.  Despite being a key route for students commuting to and from the university, the condition of those roads has continued to deteriorate, with no plans for improvement in sight. The rainy season exacerbates the situation, transforming the roads into a maze of mud and deep potholes. Students are sometimes seen jumping on stones to avoid messing their shoes. During the dry season, the roads are marred by dust and uneven surfaces, making travel uncomfortable and hazardous.   For students off-campus, this means navigating treacherous paths daily, risking their safety and well-being in the process. Adding to the hazards are the open trenches, unsafe bridges and makeshift wooden structures over gutters. The hilly and rocky terrain further complicates the commute, requiring students to maneuver through challenging landscapes.  As

KNUST BUDGET READING TURNS CHAOTIC  The 16th KNUST SRC Parliamentary budget reading turned chaotic after members objected to the financial secretary’s fundraising and allocations. Sparking tensions among attendees. Members bemoaned low accountability and clarity in how the budget was read. On 3rd March, Mr. Ohenaku Kelvin the KNUST SRC Financial secretary was according to the constitution of the SRC stipulated to appear before the Parliament House and present budget of the 2023/2024 academic year. After reading a 42 page budget, submissions were made on the budget. According to eye witnesses, the chaos started when the speaker of Parliament gave mandate to only caucus heads to give their submissions.
