JULIUS KWADWO ACHEAMONG DONATES TO COLLEGE OF SCIENCE LIBRARY and LEARNING COMMONS

Mr. Julius Kwadwo Acheampong, Presidential aspirant of the College of Science (SCISA) has donated stationery items to the Library and learning commons of the College of Science (SCISA)

The items donated included fully filled dispenser bottles and disposable cups to the College of Science Library and the Learning Commons. According to him, this was one of the many ways he is will show his commitment and readiness in assisting to ease pressure on students, as they prepare for the end of semester examinations.

An excerpt of a statement he posted on his status reads, "It is important to state that water is one of the very basic necessities of life. It's place of importance in our lives cannot be overemphasized".

On what inspired this act of gracious generosity, JAK, as he is affectionately called, narrated an incident where he went to the college's library to study. He felt thirsty after a while and so decided to get some water. He realized to his disappointment that, though there was water available, there were no cups to use. Consequently, he had to move all the way to Independence Hall to satisfy his thirst. He mentioned another incident where a young man was literally begging because he needed a small amount to buy water for his friend.

It was in the light of these, that he found it prudent to make a donation of this nature to help students who might face similar challenges.

A good number of the people this writer spoke with indicated how helpful these items would help students. They also expressed their hope that some others would also engage in this act of generosity.
