Ashanti Regional NASPA Executives put up a Fence to secure the Association’s Building

NASPA EXECUTIVES

The Ashanti Regional NASPA President Owusu-Agyemang Aephaniel has commissioned a newly built fence wall financed by the association and other donors under the supervision of the Kumasi Metro director

Over the years the National Service Scheme (NSS) office, Ashanti region secretariat to be precise have being facing security problems. This has lead to several advises being given by security agents to build a fence wall to protect machinations and other valuables in the building.

This safety precautionary measure has been ignored until it was made known to the newly elected National Service Personnel Association (NASPA) executives. They took it upon themselves to build the wall, to help protect their leaders. The executives according to reports discussed the project with the regional director Mr. Alex Opoku Mensah, who gave them his full support. They then sought support from other stakeholders who willingly gave them support for the project.

On Friday, the 29th day of January 2021 the project was ready for commissioning. During the commissioning, the president of the Ashanti Regional NASPA Mr. Owusu-Agyemang Aephaniel, went on to promise the NSS  personnels that their work will not end with this fence wall but they will extend it to providing canopies and chairs around the office in order to provide shelter for personnels when there’s a meeting, program or any registration at the office.

He further stated that he and his executives are poised to undertake skills training for personnels which at the end of their service they can start something on their own with the knowledge acquired. He ended the interview by stating that he will be organising Capacity Building programs to help boost the confidence level of the personnels for them to be visible and active at the end of their service.
