Article: Ameer Muhammad Adle, THE HIJAB AND ISLAM IS INNOCENT ZAINAB ALHASSAN ( GMB
Inferring from your recent post on the Hijab Saga you call it. Permit me to borrow your own words; "one day a Hijaabi will participate in GMB".
If I may ask, who is a Hijaabi? The mere putting on scarf/or hijab does not quarantee one to call herself a Hijabi. It is a matter beyond the wearing of a scarf on your head patrolling in town. This makes me remember one of the famous lines in the poetic works of Gombilla in which he illustrated that " behind the veil of some wearers are monsters with dark hearts. " I'm not by this saying Zanaib is a monster with a dark a heart. Hell no !. What I am just try to insinuate is that, wearing a hijab doesn't make one a Hijaabi. It takes one to take the full compliment if you ascribe to the full rudiments or fundamentals of being a Hijabi.Anyone anywhere can get up and put on hijab for her personal reasons but that doesn't make her a Hijab. I would be glad if you could take time to watch the recent investigative journalistic piece by the Ugandan Primary health minister in their hospitals. In the video you could see she disguised herself in a Hijab artifact and a Nikab. She is not a Muslim talk less of her being a Hijabi. She wore it for her personal reasons and in the event of any unfortunate happenings, the hijab cannot be held culpable but the minister should.
No Hijaabi in her right senses will think of buying a form to contest for Ghana's most beautiful pageantry. It is out of bounds!
One thing I have realized about Zainab's post is that, she is trying to make a way out her actions to concur with that of Islam. Mind you her actions comes no where near the four corners of Islam.
Secondly, she made a reference with the intentions she had contesting. Even the non Muslim’s who took part went there with intentions some even better than yours. You see err... let's not be blind followers, let us be followers like that of Peres in the bible which after preaching will go behind to see whether indeed what was said actually meant so. This "Allah knows intention thing" is dragging most muslins into the pit of sin yet thinking they are in the business of doing that which is good and in the best interest of Allah.
I cant tell you for a fact that the most misunderstood and misinterpreted ahadith is that of the first hadith of the 4Oth hadith compilation by Al-Nawawi.
"It is narrated on the authority of Amir al-Mu'minin (Leader of the Believers), Abu Hafs 'Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), say
"Actions are according to intentions, and everyone will get what was intended. Whoever migrates with an intention for Allah and His messenger, the migration will be for the sake of Allah and his Messenger. And whoever migrates for worldly gain or to marry a woman, then his migration will be for the sake of whatever he migrated for."

From her post her intention for contesting was to embark on a child marriage project and that of rape in our communities. The last time I checked, combating these irregularities in our societies have various alternatives available to any muslim wanting and having the zeal to do that. GMB is part of the not to think alternatives as a Muslim willing to undertake such useful projects.
An analogy was made under your post and it is necessary I borrow it here; . You see you cannot be going to a beer bar to drink beer and tell us Allah knows your heart. We know it too. We have no problem with you wanting to be famous and or to get some money. But leave Islam out. You can go for all programs that you want to. Nobody cares. Just don't try to fool Muslims to support you when you fail like you did on this occasion. You did not go on behalf of Muslims."
I'm happy you said your inability to sail through doesn't mean the end of your dream of embarking on the project and I am happy you've realised as a muslin GMB is not the only way to gain solid grounds to support your project. Pursue another line of action which concurs with the ideals of Islam and trust me the whole Muslim community will embrace you.
Lastly; I thought your ejection was on the basis of your hijab but from your post it clearly tells me that, it was as a result of your performance below the belt . So it is enough for your eviction. So please stay away from associating your eviction on the basis of you being a Hijabi or Muslim. It is a personal decision you took which falls outside the remits of Islamic jurisdiction. So the Hijab nor Islam cannot pay the price of your actions because they are not guilty.
