Second Year Student Alhassan Musah Declares his Intent to Run for CABESA Presidency

Master Alhassan Musah, a second year Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics (QSCE) student has today 11th of January 2020 declared his intentions officially to run for the presidency of College of Arts and Built Environment Students Association (CABESA).

In an interview with a correspondent from KNUST’s leading students media group - KNUST TigerEye Media Inc. Master Alhassan Musah stated emphatically that he has a vision to help build a better College of Arts and Built Environment Students Association - CABESA in serving students and making sure the interests of students are catered for to enable them have a smooth and sound academic life.

Master Alhassan Musah continued by pointing out that the Library system is very weak for students especially during examination times. There happens to be an “Unfair” bursary dispensing also, there is no well structured mentorship system for student (especially first years) for them to be well acquainted with the programs they’ve been offered. He then dropped a bomb on the CABESA executives accusing them of not availing themselves to hear out students problems.  


In his declaration, Master Musah stated that he feel students have lost interest in student leadership due to self-ship attitude of some past leaders and that his major plan is to bring student leadership to where it belongs thus it being the mouthpiece for the students of the College in matters relating to students interest. He ended his declaration by saying that in the appropriate time he will bring out his policies for students to know what he intend to do for the college.

Alhassan Musah is an old student of Ghana Senior High, Tamale (GHANSCO) where he read General Arts. He posed as someone who has had a lot of experience in leadership some major highlights are;

1. President of the Geography Students Association - GHANASCO (2017/2018)
2. Executive of the Civic Education Club - GHANASCO (2017/2018)
3. Executive of the Southern Students Association - GHANASCO (2017/2018)
4. Senior Prefect - Praso Islamic JHS (2014/2015)

Master Musah unveiled his political Mantra for his agenda as "SELFLESS Leadership". “I chose this mantra because a good leader, should mostly have the interests of his people at heart and his number one priority. See to it that the welfare of his people are met regardless”! the very words of master Musah.
