There was a news flash on the campus of KNUST later Sunday but gained attention yesterday evening after it was reported that the SRC Parliament has passed an Act which will ensure that all Annual celebrations by the member associations under the SRC will celebrate their respective associations in a week. This decision didn’t go down well with the students populace as they argue it is indeed one of the main reasons why there was a demonstration on KNUST campus last year. Students have issues several warnings to the SRC for them to drop the Act they’ve passed including a hashtag trending on twitter as #DropThatSillyAct and #OurDemonstrationWillNotBeInVain

This morning, The KNUST TigerEye Media Inc. changed in on a flier circulating threatening a second and powerful demonstration if the Act is not withdrawn within the shortest possible time. Various activist groups on campus have joined the fight for the Act to be dropped, Lambasting the SRC Parliamentarians for ignoring the interest of students and pursuing a biased agenda. Some students feel that the Parliamentarians have disrespected the peaceful resolution that was reached at after the demonstration. Some Campus media groups too have threatened to boycott the Second State of the SRC Address scheduled for this Sunday.
