OTUMFUO DOES NOT LIE - STATEMENT BY CONCERNED KANTANGEES

Katangees in Serious Action We, the Concerned Katangees (Alumni and Students of University Hall) hereby lift our self- imposed silence on the latest developments regarding the restoration of University Hall (Katanga) to its original status of an “All Male Hall. Our silence for more than a year was in respect of the protocols that the Chancellor of the University, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, had instituted on this matter. Over the past week, it has become obvious that University Management has no respect for these protocols. We have learnt, to our dismay, that the University has begun to assign females again to Katanga for the upcoming academic year. It is therefore important to note that this decision was made without recourse to any of the protocols established by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II or the common courtesy of engaging the relevant stakeholders. KNUST: Students Settle in on Campus Fine Amidst Coronavirus Scare

The corona virus hit the entire world as a surprise with Ghana as no exception. Ghana was hit with its first case as a result of an importation in March 2020. Schools were forced to shut down with immediate effect as one of government’s immediate measures of controlling the virus. Since then, measures have been put in place to control the virus. Schools were shut down, the country had to undergo a two week partial lockdown and strict compliance to all the protocols put in place to curb the spread of the virus. Regular washing of hands, wearing of nose masks became a norm.  All mass gatherings were banned as well. Academic activities were halted amidst fear of contraction and mass spread of this deadly virus. Notwithstanding, government issued a statement for the resumption of schools with a strong warning to adhere to all protocols.  Freshmen reported on campus three days ago and nothing seem to be out of the ordinary, all activities are going on smoothly. Katanga March for Justice Cancelled; Otumfuor set to Meet University Council and Katanga Alumni

  Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, Asantehene and Chancellor The much anticipated March for justice to the inaugural ceremony of President elect of the republic which was to be organized by the University Hall - Katanga has been cancelled moments before the said event occurs. This set back occurred as a result of a meeting that has been scheduled to take place between the Chancellor of the University, Otumfuor Osei Tutu II, overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom and the University Council in the presence of the Katanga alumni.  At this point, little can be said about the meeting.   NEW Logo for CANaRSA Women’s Commission The Women’s Commission office of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANaRSA - KNUST) has today the 4th of January 2021 unveiled the official logo of the office which has been said to symbolize the office. KNUST: Dean of Students Reminds Continuing Students Of Resumption Date

The New Social Science Building The Office of the Dean of Student for the ever prestigious University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology- KNUST has issued a bulk SMS informing continuing students on when to report to the campus In the later days of the day, continuing students received an SMS alert from the office of the Dean of Students which sought to remind students that the resumption date still remains 16th of this month. While awaiting the final confirmation on wether schools will resume or not, the alert has given students hope that academic works will resume after a halt for almost a year. All continuing students are to report to school on Saturday 16 January 2021. On-line course registration begins on Friday 8th January 2021. A Delegation from Unity Hall-KNUST Turns up for Final Funeral/Burial Rites of the late Selase Doh at Ho

 A Delegation from Unity Hall-KNUST, the hall of residence of the Late Wisdom Selase Doh and several comrades from the University community have paid their final tribute to the late former President of the Unity Hall J.C.R who met his untimely death after a short ailment at his hometown, Ho. The late Selase Doh described by many as a humble soul pursued and completed a four year degree program in Agricultural Engineering during his stay in KNUST. He however could not finished his service to the nation before death laid its cold hands on the powerful Continental. Selase is the only child of his mom, and as it stand now Martha Emefa Akilgo will have no biological child at her confort.
