This year's vetting was an interesting one with a lot of expectation on the part of the Panel to scrutinise aspirants very well. With the vast experience the panelists have in student leadership, no aspirant was expected to have it easy. Indeed, all witnesses could testify that this panel was not a pushover, especially, the Women's Commissioner and Financial Secretary portfolios. It was during the General Secretaries that we witnessed the expression of wits. If one will be disappointed  by this vetting, it will certainly be on the Presidential aspirants because of the abrupt end the whole process came to. Samuel Sesah’s Vetting Disrupted by Unity Hall Affiliates

The members of the Unity Hall - Conti on Saturday morning 7th March disrupted the vetting process of Master Samuel Sesah, a fierce contender for the 2020 KNUST SRC polls scheduled for 3 weeks after they stormed the Great Hall whiles Samuel Sesah was on the floor being vetted by the seven (7) member panel empaneled by the KNUST SRC electoral commissioner Master Philip Ofori-Atta Following the series of disturbances, the vetting chair Master Duke Sasu asked Samuel Sesah and his running mate Master Morris Effah to move closer to the panel with just about some few feet in between they two parties. After several warnings and cautions from the EC and the vetting chairperson which were all ignored by the unity Hall boys the chair forced for the closure of the vetting of Master Samuel Sesah and Morris Effah which paved way for the candidate of the Unity Hall Master Rexford Bonney. The Association of Petrochemical Engineering Students (APCES), Chemical Engineering Student's Association(CHEESA) KNUST and Chemical Engineering Student's Association KTSU in collaboration with AMET CONSULT is set to hold Unichem Day on the 7th of March 2020 at The Kumapley Auditorium KNUST. The programme which is slated to kick start at 12 noon (GMT), will have speakers from various Chemical and Petrochemical Engineering firms talk to students about the industrial setting and how to equip themselves adequately. Students will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with students from other schools as well as share ideas. Students are therefore entreated to make good use of the opportunity. Akwasi Oduro Kwarteng tops Katanga Vetting ahead of Wednesday polls

KNUST SRC Cancels SRC Week Celebrations; Scheduled Programs Still Hold

The KNUST SRC through a communique has cancelled the 2020 SRC week celebrations which has been a custom of the SRC for years citing no particular reason to this effect. Contact us 0237380243 or follow us on twitter via KNUST TigerEye Media Inc .] We chanced on a communique signed by SRC Executives informing all students that all activities slated for SRC week will hold within the next two months however the SRC week proper has been cancelled. The programs such as Funcity, Food bazaar, KNUST strongest,Women's month amongst others would come of within the months of March and April. There was no particular reason as to why the week celebrations was cancelled. What may be the reason? It is alleged that all hostel programs have also being canceled. We await final confirmations.

TESCON - KNUST (NPP) ENDORSES MASTER JOSHUA OBUOBI PANYIN

We, the members of the Tertiary Students Confederacy of the New Patriotic Party (TESCON - KNUST), the Students Wing of the New Patriotic Party, are by this release informing all our members in the College of Health Sciences that the Elections Committee has endorsed the candidature of Master Joshua Obuobi Panyin , a Fourth year Student of Pharmacy, for HESA President. Master Joshua Obuobi Panyin  is an astute member of TESCON -KNUST and has paid his due towards the principles and tenets of this great family. We believe that not only does he bring his rich experience to lead the College of Health Sciences but also that which reflects the true ideologies of Social Democrats. It is our prayer and hope that our comrade will excel in his bid to become the next HESA President and serve his people well. We encourage all our members to show massive support for him as he champions for an advanced HESA. Thank you.
