KNUST Centre For Business Development Procures GHC 141,150.000 Worth of New Generator Set To Support Its Operations.


The Centre for Business Development (CBD) of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science Technology (KNUST), Kumasi has commissioned a TJ 150 KVA PE5L diesel generator at a total cost of GHC 141,150.000.

Handing over the generator to centre, the Director of Procurement, Mr. Edward Nketia-Asante stated that the generator was procured through a National Competitive Tendering (NCT) process, with 11 companies participating; Klataa Engineering Solutions Company Limited eventually won the bid for the tender process.

The Head of CBD Mr. Samuel Yaw Akomea, the installation of the generator was one of the interventions aimed at providing a backup electricity to the operational unit of Kumasi Business Incubator (KBI) under the CBD.  

The Managing Director of Klataa Engineering Solutions Company Limited, Mr. Richard Ashun took the Staff and other attendees from other departments through an enhanced demonstrative training section on how the machine operates. 

The CBD has been established to spearhead entrepreneurship by providing conducive environments to KNUST students and graduates with entrepreneurship spirit to create

employment for themselves and others to solve the growing graduate unemployment situation in the country.
