HESA to use Popular votes System after SRC Speaker cautioned them on Inconsistency of the Electoral College System

The Heath Science students Association (HESA) for the past years has happened to be the only college that uses a different voting system - The Electoral College System which differs from the popular voting system under the SRC and most colleges.

However, in a letter addressed to the College Electoral Commissioner on the 24th January, 2020 by the leadership of 11th SRC Parliamentary Council signee by Rt. Hon Asamoah Agyemang Hunvilla seeks a review of the college's electoral system. The Parliamentary Council stated vividly in the letter that in its efforts to correct inconsistencies and prevent the abuse of the SRC constitution, the "Electoral College" system practiced by the college is unconstitutional per the SRC constitution and hence must be reverted back to the popular vote system as stipulated by the SRC constitution.

The council also urged the college to be guided by the fact that no other constitution element or clause in any lower lower constituency can be seen or read as superior to that of the SRC and that the leadership of the parliament will use all measures available to enforce the SRC constitution. This made the College hold a launch at which it was announced that they willnkw be using the popular voting system in the 2020 polls.
