Rt. Hon Asamoah Agyemang Hunvilla, speaker of the 11th Parliament of the KNUST SRC  ended their sitting session for the first semester in a grand style today at the Institute of Distant Learning (IDL) Conference Room with the commander in Chief of the KNUST SRC cadet, Master Adu-Baah Charles (ABC) addressing the student populace through the parliament

At the last and final state of the SRC Address (SOSA) for the semester as mandated by the KNUST SRC supreme constitution, the speaker for the 11th Parliament of KNUST SRC Rt. Hon Asamoah Agyemang Hunvilla stated that he is satisfied with what his Parliament has achieved so far. He commended the efforts of his Parliamentarians, showering words of praises on them tagging them as “Hardworking” as they have done so much for the students of KNUST. The honorable speaker brought the first session of the parliament to an end by hinting that his parliament has more in store for the students. Hi bade the students in general good luck in the ongoing exam and also farewell when students are leaving campus.

SOME ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE SRC PARLIAMENT

The KNUST SRC 11th Parliament under the control of the Youngest Speaker of Parliament ever in the history of the parliament boosts of the following:

1. Passing the Students Association Dues Rate Act 2019 (SADR Act)
2. Passing the Non-Residential Resolution Bill 2019 (Awaiting the President’s assenting)
3. Passing the Obuase Students Rate Act 2019
4. Passing and Suspending the Mid-Semester Break Act 2019 (MSB Act)
5. Having 6 Parliamentary Sittings
6. 3 monthly Meetings with the office of the Dean of Students to advocate directly through his office.
7. Having four (4) emergency Parliamentary meetings.
8. Set up a TekTalk Review Committee to investigate TekTalk @5
9. Achieving more popularity in the student face.
10. Superb unity in the parliament and with vision
