Third year student of the department of Sociology miss Delali Setugah Forgive has declared her intent to run for the portfolio of KNUST SRC Women’s Commissioner for the second time in a grand style In a statement she released this afternoon, she pointed out that the evolution of leadership is an individual journey which hers started when she ran for Women’s Commissioner last year and lost. She conceded that running a campaign is like running a startup. You create a brand, people will show up to support. “But I am aspiring to lead to inspire hope” she declared. “It's not about what I am; it's about who I am becoming”. There’s more to do, my voice needs to be out there for our dear ladies. My name is Delali Setugah Forgive and I aspire to inspire hope for ladies on campus and beyond through a NEW NARRATIVE she concluded. Below is her statement:

A second year LLB Student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Lois Maame Efua Fosuah Appeah with Stage Name Lois Mae has released her debut single track titled “Mind Your Own Business” ​Lois started making music and writing lyrics at the age of eight and finally got the chance to come out and show the world what she had to offer in level 200 at the university. When asked What inspired her to write “Mind Your Own Business”, she stated  “It’s a very long story. Let’s just say I was deep in my emotions when I wrote that song. I was deeply hurt by some of my mates in SHS and was also fed up at the same time. The music in a way spoke to me as well as allowed me to vent out in a positive way”. “I want my music to reach tons of people and touch many hearts. Martin Darko Dankwah, University Hall President  The President of the most powerful and popular Hall of residence on KNUST campus who was accused of money extortion has been found guilty of charges labeled against him as affected appointed executives apologize for wrong use of medium to channel their grievances  After the affected executives took their issues to the media, the name of the most prestigious Hall was dragged in the mud. The executives however have apologized in a letter addressed to the hall administration on the mode of channelling thier grievances. But the indicted Hall President Martin Darko Dankwah after an emergency council meeting which was held to address the issue at hand was given the choice of resignation or face impeachment. All monetary extortions are to be paid in full in due time. Once again..the fellows have proven  to be completely against any kind of corruption..they pride themselves with the motto..REST NOT!!!

Llp.   In His petition to the Dean of students office on 7th April 2021, Master Manaan Abdul-kareem Independence Hall Vice-president discussed issues which were happening in the Otumfuo Osei Tutu hostel. He had a meeting  with the Dean of students on 9th April 2021 to discuss the petition submitted to his office.  The discussion was a brief as their stands were clear on issues that are affecting students in the hostel. He started by stating the reasons for the visit. Thus, the lack of a power plant in the hostel, state of study rooms and other relevant issues. The petition yielded results as the study rooms that were closed from the beginning of the semester have been reopened for students. Also with the hostel not having a power plant, The Dean said, he has spoken to the financial officer of the University to include a power plant in the next budget.  Students should therefore be expecting a power plant in the hostel next year.

The most popular 2021 SRC General Secretary aspirant Miss Benedicta Tiwaa Amankwaa a third year student of geography and rural development has advocated for the plugs at the Study Room of Unity Hall - Conti to be fixed and she got a positive response  Benedicta Tiwaa Amankwah The Study Room of Unity Hall has been in a bad state ever since as the plugs at the Study do not work for students who usually go there with electronic gadgets which will aide their studies. A number of complaints have been channeled to the authorities but nothing has been done. Miss Benedicta then took it upon herself to contact the SCR of the Hall she hails from to get things fixed to aide student’s studies. Her plea has been successful so far as the plugs has been fixed. Bravo to her relentless attitude in getting things done. So far she has a better track record of projects and things which will make society and campus better and lively.

  The donation was genuine without any agenda motive as it has been always where people donate when they are going for position. The main purpose for this kind gesture is to assist colleagues Muslims who will find it difficult to feed during this Ramadan.  This will at least help the beneficiaries to start their day with suhoor or sehri which is the pre-dawn meal before the Fajr and also after sundown. Also, He urged all students who have enough to give to support our brethren ( Muslim students ) who do not have during this Holy period. And to the student politicians, please give alms when necessary and not just for the sake of self interest. Individuals all over Campus should help cater to our fellows even beyond this Ramadan. Benedicta and the Electrician Third year student of geography and rural development Miss Benedicta Tiwaa Amankwaa has donated 10 street bulbs and 2 complete set of street lights to darker places off-campus Off-campus security has always been a nemesis for students who find themselves at these places. It has been noted that most street bulbs off-campus do not function and as such leave most vantage points dark at night and unsafe for students to ply that route Benedicta Tiwaa Amankwah, SRC General Secretary Aspirant With exam being eminent for students, it becomes important for students to spend most of their time preparing adequately both day and night. At night, students complain of attacks that sometimes become deadly when returning from late night studies.  Benedicta Tiwaa, known for her benevolent acts made this donation to curb such inhumane acts of violence and assault and thievery at night time
